You took the first step! Your’e here.

I know…therapy can feel daunting. Especially, if you have never talked to a therapist, or worse if you had the kind of therapist who just nods and says “Mmm hmm, mmm hmmm, and how did that make you feel?” on repeat. Yeah no thanks.

I want you to look forward to our sessions, and have you leave with tools, and thought provoking conversations that help your problems feel more manageable. I want you to feel supported and less alone. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or trauma, or just getting out of your own way…I can relate. Let’s talk.

ABOUT ME

Having had a prolific 25-year career in the entertainment industry, I can personally understand what contributes towards anxiety, depression, and a compromised self esteem. Through talk therapy, identifying the lies we tell ourselves, and changing our patterns, I believe we are all capable of having the life we desire, getting out of our own way, and becoming closer towards reaching our goals. My approach to therapy is one of transparency and honesty, directness, and a little sarcasm and humor (when appropriate) of course. I’d like ti think of our work as a team approach. I want to help you to identify new goals, overcome obstacles, and overall help you to ‘level up’. I think it’s so important to collaborate with clients and really understand and make sense of the “Why?” behind our actions, patterns and thoughts, in order to move away from whatever isn’t serving you, and move closer to the healthier life you envision and deserve.

I see clients in-person at office locations in Hermosa Beach, Westchester and Studio City, California, as well as online through tele-health (Zoom), and with services during the week and on weekends.

EXPERIENCE

I graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in ‘Addiction & Recovery’ from Antioch University, (one of the first in the country to offer this specialization). Since 2018, I have had the pleasure of working at dual diagnosis outpatient treatment centers for people struggling with mental health issues and/or addiction and am currently a Clinical Director overseeing a 12 bed detox and rehabilitation center in addition to my private practice and supervising therapists who are not yet licensed.

Additionally, I have been volunteering my time as the primary therapist at Miriam’s House, a non-profit sober living based in Los Angeles where women can recover with their children since 2017.

In addition to addiction and recovery, I specialize in working with people experiencing high conflict divorces, co-parenting issues, and all things involving the fun family court system. Codependency and major life transitions are also an area I have a strong skill set with and if 10,000+ hours makes you and expert (according to Malcolm Gladwell)…I am most certainly comfortable calling myself an expert in those areas. The majority of my clients that find me are seeking relief from good old anxiety and/or depression often colored by past trauma which is currently compromising their quality of life.
